Friends

Recently the Friends have been responsible for the renovation of the College Crest, the repair of the railings on the front stepways, contributing towards the cost of the renovation of the Clock, and the restoration of the wellhead.  Their most recent project, in 2023, was to contribute £5,000 to the Trustees in part payment of the felling of a tree and consequent work on the boundary wall.

Some sixteen Friends met for a fun Beetle Drive on Saturday 11th May 2024. Against the noise of rolling dice and shouts of “Beetle” much fun was had, followed by cake and tea. £90 was raised for Friends’ funds.

In 2023. the Friends held three events, which raised a total of just over £1,000: a Garden Party in July, Tea and a Stall at the Open Day in September, and a Concert with Tea in November. Graham Bradshaw is seen here, welcoming Clarisma at the Concert.

A very happy Cream Tea event featuring “Clarisma” on a very dark February afternoon in 2020 raised £222 for the Friends

A Coffee morning on January 25th 2020 raised £260 for the Friends
